Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp, has expressed surprise that Arsenal striker, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, won this season’s Premier League Golden Boot alongside Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane
Aubameyang and Mane were behind Salah by two goals in the race to be the English top flight’s high scorer of the season.
However, the Gabon international netted twice in Arsenal’s win over Burnley and Mane also struck double in Liverpool’s 2-0 victory over Wolves to draw them level with Salah for the season.
When the Premier League drew the cotton on Sunday for this season, all three stars were handed their own Golden Boot award.
The German manager was asked about Liverpool duo, Salah and Mane after the Reds narrowly missed out on winning a first Premier League title.
Klopp told Sky Sports, “Do we have the two top goalscorers, right? Oh, Auba scored twice again? At Burnley?
“Wow, I never would have expected that. How do they do that now, do they make three golden boots? Or everybody gets it for three months? So, all my players, eh?”
