The metaverse venture of Mark Zuckerberg is still in its infancy. There have been more and more red flags in recent weeks.
According to recent reports from numerous publications, including The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times, his vision has encountered significant obstacles in a relatively short period of time. Economic uncertainty has already forced Zuckerberg to freeze hiring and take other steps that have alarmed employees.
The CEO of Meta predicted that the metaverse will become “mainstream” in five to ten years when he changed the company’s name from Facebook last year. But right now, his company’s existence is on the line since expensive initiatives seem to be getting a resounding “meh” from the public. While this was going on, Meta spent $15 billion on Zuckerberg’s obsession.
