Abdulazeez Olajide Adediran, also known as Jandor, is the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) candidate for governor of Lagos State in the 2023 governor’s race. He has denied rumors that he kicked Bode George out of the party.
In a Tuesday interview with Arise Television, Jandor claimed that Bode George and his friends had left the party.
He claimed that when party leaders, like Bode George, endorsed a different candidate in the presidential and gubernatorial elections, they ceased to be PDP members.
He claimed, “I would rather say they ejected themselves when they declared for another party during the 2023 electioneering process. I did not expel them since I have no authority to do so. For both the presidential and gubernatorial elections, there is proof on national television.
It indicates that a political party’s leader has defected to the opposition when a purported party head appears on national television and says, “Don’t vote for my party’s candidate, regardless of who it is.
“They would be in the government now if the party they backed had prevailed. They did it themselves, and they never threatened to be kicked out. I have no authority over them.
“What we’re saying is that you have no say in this party because you openly declared as much.”
