“I AM SICK,” HAVING SPENT SIX MONTHS IMMOBILIZED WELL-KNOWN NOLLYWOOD ACTOR BEGS FOR ASSISTANCE

Veteran Nollywood actor Ameachi Muonago has appealed to well-meaning Nigerians to support him in his fight to survive a stroke.

In a now-viral video, the seasoned actor revealed that he had been afflicted with the illness for the previous seven months.

Muonago said that the condition prevents him from walking on his own and from defecating, and that it has paralyzed half of his body.

“I am ill; a stroke struck me when I was not driving. They sent me to the hospital, where I spent around two months before sending me to the teaching hospital in Nnewi, where I am currently being treated. This problem started as I was getting into my car, and it has been worse ever since. Munoago stated in the widely shared video, “I can’t urinate right now, I can’t walk on my own, half of my leg is paralyzed so it’s a problem to pee.”

The Nollywood legend apologized for not informing the public sooner about his ailment and urged well-meaning Nigerians to help.

He continued, “I’m so sorry I didn’t inform the public earlier because I didn’t know it would last this long, but as it is, I am calling on kindhearted people to come on my assistance; it is paralysis, and half of my body is immobile.”
