The Cast Away and Forrest Gump actor thinks that technology may be used to reproduce his likeness, guaranteeing his continued presence in motion pictures “from now until kingdom come.”

In a recent podcast interview, Hanks stated that “anyone can now recreate themselves at any age they are through the use of AI or deep fake technology.”

Commercially successful series like Indiana Jones and the Fast and the Furious films have already employed AI technology.
