Tunji Wusu –

Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi, a prominent member of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Ogun State, has said that he entered politics in order to gain notoriety similar to Chief Obafemi Awolowo, who dedicated his life to serving humanity.

He stated, in his Monday speech at a public event, that diversifying away from crude oil and into other industries like tourism, hospitality, power, and agriculture is the best way to address the economic issues the nation is currently facing.

Ajadi asserted that rather than putting more hardship on the general populace, he had the ability, qualities, and genius in governing to make Nigeria a better nation.

Ajadi stated that if given the chance to lead the nation, his administration would prioritize people-centered programs to help the less fortunate. He also promised to improve the tourism and hospitality industries, the education and health sectors, as well as the security of people’s lives and property, and the agricultural sector.

I’ve had a lot of success in the private sector, Ajadi remarked. I consider myself to be above average rather than ordinary. I want to become as famous as the late wise Chief Obafemi Awolowo, who during his lifetime gave to the people rather than consuming government funds. I don’t know when I’ll pass away, but while I’m still here I’ll give the people and humanity my all.

“I want Nigeria to change the way that our children are educated, that lives and property are secure, that farmers and the really poor are helped, that education is given priority, and that power is generated so that our industries may expand.

“I’m not like the rest of them; they are what I stand for. I’m a man of serious character. We can bring wealth to Nigeria despite the fact that we are not poor.

“You know me, I don’t break promises, I reward skills, and our system of rewarding hard work will change. The reality is that if we don’t install bright, brilliant, and pedigreed individuals in positions of leadership, Nigeria will continue to lag behind.

“Let’s expand the tourist and hospitality industries to increase revenue and provide more jobs for young people who are unemployed.

With visionary leadership, we can provide steady electricity, good roads, improved welfare, and better healthcare for Nigerians.
