Babatunji Wusu –
According to President Bola Tinubu, he inherited Muhammadu Buhari’s possessions and liabilities.
At the presentation of two books on the former president, Muhammadu Buhari: The Nigerian Legacy by Dr. Udu Yakubu and Working with Buhari: Reflections of a former Special Advisor to the President, Media and Publicity, by Femi Adesina, Tinubu made this statement on Tuesday in Abuja.
President Tinubu congratulated President Buhari for his visionary leadership of Nigeria and his dedication to integrity, propriety, and service in a statement released by his spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale.
In addition to pointing out that Buhari took over an unstable economy and a precarious security environment, Tinubu added that Buhari exhibited honesty and transparency in his leadership.
On the other hand, the president claimed that the previous president had initiated the procedure that would ensure stability.
He said: “I am glad that history has been reintroduced in our schools, and this will be part of our curriculum.”
Describing former Buhari as an organized and disciplined person, President Tinubu urged him to continue to be a pillar of the nation’s development, even after retirement.
