Babatunji Wusu –

Customers of Sango-Ota in Ogun have been pleaded with by the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) to settle their bills and continue receiving excellent services.

Lead Media Relations for IBEDC, Mrs. Busolami Tunwase, made an appeal to reporters on Monday in Ota, Ogun.

At a stakeholders meeting held in Joju, Ota on October 11, Tunwase stated that the corporation owed N28 billion to the Sango/Ota district business.

“We continue to urge our valued clients to promptly settle their bills, as the amount we have received pales in comparison to the amount that remains unpaid,” he stated.

She pointed out that in order for the business to give the general public a better and more reliable electricity supply, the consumers needed to pay off their obligations.

Tunwase issued a warning to the public not to assault IBEDC employees while they were performing their jobs or they would be subject to legal action.
