Ibrahim Abdullahi Wayya has officially taken office as the new Commissioner for Information in Kano State. The handover ceremony, conducted on Monday by Permanent Secretary Alhaji Adamu Bala Muhammad, was attended by government officials, ministry staff, heads of agencies, and a group of well-wishers, friends, and family.
In his inaugural address, Wayya expressed his eagerness to collaborate closely with journalists to ensure the accurate and effective communication of government policies and programs to the public. He recognized the vital role the media plays in shaping public opinion and stressed the importance of transparent communication.
Wayya also underscored his commitment to the welfare of the Ministry’s staff, emphasizing that improving staff morale and service delivery would be central to his leadership. He announced plans to focus on capacity building, aiming to equip staff with the necessary skills to perform their duties effectively.
