- Bidding is open until November 26, with a reserve price of £10,000 per locker.
- The auction includes a stadium mosaic and benefits the Real Madrid Foundation.
- The lockers are a symbol of a remarkable era for the club, highlighted by recent success in La Liga and the Champions League.
As part of a Sotheby’s auction, 24 dressing-room lockers once used by football legends such as Cristiano Ronaldo, David Beckham, Zinedine Zidane, Sergio Ramos, and Luis Figo, are now on display in London. These lockers, which were part of Real Madrid’s famed Bernabeu stadium, are being sold after the club’s renovation of its iconic home ground.
The lockers were used between 2001 and 2022, including during the 2021-2022 season, when Real Madrid secured a La Liga and Champions League double, boasting players like Karim Benzema, Vinicius Junior, and Luka Modric. Each locker has a starting bid of £10,000 ($12,650), and bidding is open until November 26.
“These lockers represent an extraordinary period in Real Madrid’s history,” said George North, Sotheby’s Head of Collection Sales. “This is the first time we’ve brought an entire locker room to market, which reflects the immense popularity and prestige of a club like Real Madrid.”
In addition to the lockers, the auction features a massive stadium mosaic, approximately three meters wide, with a reserve price of £12,000. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Real Madrid Foundation, the club’s charitable arm.
