Joe Biden, the vice president of the United States, has stated that if Vladimir Putin wants to put an end to the conflict in Ukraine, he will meet with him.
Emmanuel Macron, the president of France, was in Washington, DC on a state visit when Biden made this speech to the media on Thursday.
If Putin decides to look for a solution to end the war, Biden said he will meet with him.
Although Biden claimed he had not observed Putin’s motivation, he and Macron vowed to keep opposing Russia’s conflict.
In response, Dmitry Peskov, Putin’s spokesman, backed Biden and stated that his boss was still willing to negotiate “to ensure our interests.”
Peskov questioned, “What exactly did President Biden say? He claimed that only when Putin has left Ukraine are conversations conceivable.
Additionally, Macron said he and Biden had agreed to never press the Ukrainian government to reach a solution “that will not be acceptable for them.”
