Following the Police Service Commission’s confirmation of his suggestion, the Acting Inspector-General of Police, Ag. IGP Olukayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has ordered the deployment of 35 Commissioners of Police to various state commands and formations across the nation.
The IGP reaffirmed that the postings are consistent with the police leadership’s commitment to providing efficient law enforcement, security, and the maintenance of law and order in Nigeria.
CP Adelesi E. Oluwarotimi, CP Adebola Ayinde Hamzat, CP Augustina N. Ogbodo, CP Samuel Titus Musa, CP Auwal Musa, CP Alamutu Abiodun Mustapha, and CP Alamutu Abiodun Mustapha are among the newly posted Commissioners of Police, according to police spokesman CSP Muyiwa Adejobi.
CP Rhoda A. Olofu was assigned to the Ports Authority Police Western, Lagos; CP Kareem Musa was assigned to Interpol Annex Lagos; CP Audu Dabigi was assigned to the Border Patrol Force; CP Abibo D. Reuben was assigned to the Police Mobile Force; CP Adekunle Ismaila Olusokan was assigned to the Welfare FHQ Abuja; CP Omolara Ibidun Oloruntola was assigned to.
In addition, the IGP instructed the newly appointed commissioners of police to adhere to the principles of fairness, professionalism, and respect for human rights while incorporating his policies, vision, and mission for the Nigerian Police Force into their daily operations.
The Inspector-General of Police charges them with advancing intelligence-led policing, proactive crime prevention strategies, and community engagement initiatives that will increase public trust and confidence in the Nigerian Police Force while urging them to serve as exemplary leaders, cultivating harmonious relationships with other security agencies, community leaders, and pertinent stakeholders.
