Senator Godswill Akpabio, a former Niger Delta Affairs Minister, has vowed to mobilize grassroots support in Akwa Ibom and elsewhere for the success of ALP presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Making Tinubu the nation’s next leader is a duty that must be completed, according to Akpabio, the APC’s senate candidate for Akwa Ibom North West.
Speaking at the launch of his campaign council, Akpabio asked all APC members to canvass every corner of the State in support of Tinubu, himself, and all other party candidates.
“I had intended to return to this State and serve as your president. When I evaluated the APC, I saw that the party needed peace and unity, and since the Northern Governors, in a display of patriotism, have decided that power should go to the South, I had to lend my support to Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, one of the party’s founding fathers and a man with vision and mission.
“Asiwaju Tinubu, our presidential candidate, and I just got back from the North. He appears to have a lot of support from our northern brothers, based on what I observed. He is well-liked throughout the nation, and based on current political indicators, he will become the next President, the speaker predicted.
The Vice Chairman of the APC Presidential Campaign Council opened the council at the campaign headquarters in the Ikot Ekpene Local Government and declared that the party “is the one to beat in the impending election in 2023 across the country.”
The people of Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District want to use this election to show the world that their son, Senator Godswill Akpabio, won the senatorial election in 2019 but the results were manipulated against him, and one of those who participated in that heinous crime is currently cooling off in prison, according to the former Senate Minority Leader.
“The results of that election were presented to Uyo in defiance of the law, and the rest is history now. The excellent people of the Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District now have another chance to demonstrate that they supported me in the 2019 election, he said.
Let me warn our fans as well. Whenever someone offers you money, take it, but cast your vote according to your morals this time around because it will undoubtedly count. Never make a fetish oath. Vote just for the APC. Obong Akan Udofia is still the party’s candidate, so don’t let the continuing legal dispute about his nomination stop you.
“A vote for me to be elected to the Senate is a vote for appointments, the advancement of human capital, scholarships, and female emancipation, as well as elevating Akwa Ibom to the forefront of national politics.
“I will run for office in each of the state’s units, wards, and local governments. Because the Egyptians you see today won’t be around much longer, I’ll preach a message of hope. They will accuse us falsely, threaten us, and say anything they want to say about us, but ultimately God’s will will prevail.
