Temilade Openiyi, nicknamed Tems, a Grammy-nominated musician, has informed her fans that she is not their Christian savior and will not endeavor to uphold their religious convictions.

On Tuesday, the singer announced this via her verified Twitter account.

Tems said that she wasn’t trying to impress anyone and wouldn’t adhere to any artificial standards that were imposed for her.

Whoever needs to hear this, please know that I am not your Christian savior. I didn’t come here to support your theistic convictions.
