Numerous automobiles were destroyed in the event, which occurred in the Pakata region of Ilọrin West Local Government region, Kwara State, according to reports acquired by Naija News on Monday.
Journalists who went to the location on Monday found that Yusuf, a member of a rival organization, had been shot dead by a suspected cultist named Abiodun as a result of an argument that had happened over the weekend.
The deceased had lately tied the knot with his expectant spouse.
But after the event, Abiodun, the culprit, is said to have left the area and is currently avoiding capture.
According to Channels Television, on Saturday, the suspect’s Pakata home, Gana Compound, came under attack from the organization to which the deceased was purportedly a member. This led to an escalated situation.
In an apparent attempt to get revenge for the death of their comrade, the cult group invaded the location brandishing firearms, cutlasses, and other lethal weapons.
At least six cars were destroyed in this retaliatory attack, and multiple injuries were recorded.

“When the gang came, they started shooting sporadically and people were running in opposite directions,” an eyewitness told journalists at the scene of the incident.
He added: “They later invaded the compound and attacked family members sighted with machetes, leaving many injured.”
Confirming the chaotic event, the spokesperson of the Kwara Police Command, Toun Ejire-Adeyemi, said: “Investigation is still ongoing.”
