Controversial crossdresser Okuneye Idris, popularly known as Bobrisky, is currently held in detention at the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Annex, Alagbon, Lagos. He spent the night in a police cell after being arrested by the Nigeria Immigration Service while attempting to leave the country through the Seme border.

A source familiar with the situation confirmed the arrest, stating that Bobrisky was taken to the FCID for safekeeping as further instructions are awaited regarding his case. The source added, “Immigration officers brought Bobrisky to the FCID around 10 p.m. on Monday, after his arrest at the Seme border.”

The spokesperson for the FCID, Lagos, Mayegun Aminat, confirmed his detention, saying, “Bobrisky is with us at the FCID, and we are seeking a remand order to keep him in custody.”

The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) spokesperson, Kenneth Udo, had earlier described Bobrisky as a person of interest due to recent public concerns. In a statement, Udo emphasized the NIS’s commitment to border security, stating, “Bobrisky was intercepted at the Seme border while attempting to exit the country. He is undergoing interrogation and will be handed over to the appropriate authorities for further action.”
