The Imo State Police Command has responded to a video circulating online, which purportedly shows unknown gunmen conducting activities at their camp. The command clarified that the video is not recent but rather an old clip from 2023, which has been misrepresented as a new development.

Through a statement by its spokesperson, DSP Henry Okoye, the police force labeled the video as a form of blackmail and a deliberate attempt by criminal elements to mislead the public with false information. Okoye emphasized that the video, which depicted a terrorist camp, was part of a failed plot to lure security operatives into an ambush.

The spokesperson further reassured the public that security forces had already identified and dismantled the camp, neutralizing the criminal threat.
