In Bauchi, a jealous housewife was detained after being accused of killing her co-wife’s infant child.
Furera Abubakar, 24, was detained by police officers in Bauchi State for reportedly killing her 4-day-old stepchild in Bantu village, Ningi LGA.
On August 22, SP Ahmed Wakil, the command’s spokeswoman, announced that the suspect had been detained by command personnel.
The 4-day-old child was born on the 15th of August 2023 and was murdered by the suspect (Furera) on the 19th of August 2023 before the naming ceremony, according to a report made to the Ningi Divisional Police headquarters on August 19, 2023.
