Babatunji Wusu –

Two suspects have been arrested by the Bauchi State Police Command in relation to the untimely death of Muhammadu Murtala Ali, a 43-year-old man who was experimenting with a bulletproof charm.

The incident happened in the state’s Zaki LGA on October 30.

A native doctor from Damaiwa village in Zaki LGA’s Bursali ward, Danladi Ya’u, along with three other accomplices who are still at large, went into the jungle to test a bulletproof charm on the deceased, according to a statement released by Ahmed Wakil, the spokesperson for the Police Command.

Regretfully, Danladi Ya’u shot Murtala with a gun built in the area.

Following receipt of the report, a squad of detectives was dispatched to the area and upon arrival, the victim’s body was removed and taken to the General Hospital in Jakusko, Yobe State, where he was declared deceased.

Wakil revealed that attempts are in progress to capture the remaining accomplices after two suspects were swiftly taken into custody.
