There have apparently been at least 16 Nigerians murdered in Burkina Faso. In a statement released on Sunday, February 5, the Jam’iyyatu Ansariddeen Attijaniyya of Nigeria said that several of its members from Nigeria were brutally murdered while traveling to Sheikhul-Islam Alhaji Ibrahim Niasse’s native Senegal.
Sayyidi Mohammad AlQasim Yahaya, the movement’s national secretary, demanded the arrest and prosecution of everyone responsible for the heinous act during a news conference in Abuja.
He claimed that a report made available to the movement’s leadership in Nigeria revealed that a delegation of Nigerians traveling in a convoy of opulent minibuses on a fateful day were forced to disembark by Burkinabe army soldiers on patrol, “randomly selected & cold-bloodedly sh@t to d£ath in a most horrifying display of bestiality,” and then killed.
16 of them, according to Yahaya, were killed, and some vehicles and their passengers are still missing.
