48 alleged online fraudsters and herbalists have been detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s (EFCC) Ilorin Zonal Command on suspicion of conspiratorial and deceptive offenses.

On Tuesday, March 5, 2024, the suspects were taken into custody at many locations in Lokoja, Kogi State, based on reliable information.

The EFCC claimed in a statement on Thursday, March 7, that the herbalist, who is regarded as the spiritual father of internet fr@udsters, was detained carrying a variety of charms.

Ten exotic cars, two motorcycles, eleven laptops, 83 cell phones, and charms were among the items found on them.

Following the end of the investigations, the suspects—all male and between the ages of 17 and 34—will be arraigned in court, the statement continued.
