Rhodiyat Adetumobi, an 8-year-old girl from Ijaiye Ojokoro, Lagos State, described how her uncle abused her after accusing her of selling cans to scavengers.

According to the victim, her uncle assaults her frequently, leaving her with bruises on her body.

“My uncle did this to me.” His children were picking cans and selling them to scavengers, but they lied that I did, and he punished me with his cane. He frequently b+ats me with st+cks and wires. I don’t know what I did to deserve such terrible treatment. My father is d£ad while my mother is sick, and he has been caring after me,” she explained.

Meanwhile, an eyewitness, Princess Adeshewa on TikTok, says that Rhodiyat has been given over to the Lagos State Government at Alausa, Ikeja, while the suspect is walking around freely.
