IN LAGOS, THREE PEOPLE, INCLUDING A MAKEUP ARTIST, WERE DETAINED FOR ALLEGEDLY STAGING A KIDNAPPING AND DEMANDING A N5 MILLION RANSOM.

Three people, including a makeup artist, have been taken into custody by the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly fabricating Agnes Ogbeh’s arrest.

In a statement released on Friday, March 22, Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the command, named the suspects as 25-year-old Margret Itodo “f,” 23-year-old Agnes Ogbeh “f,” 24-year-old Esther Anyanwu “f,” and 24-year-old Anthony Chinakwe “m.”

He claims, “Agnes Ogbeh, an Akure resident, traveled to Lagos on March 19, 2024, and was supposedly kidnapped there.

A video showing Agnes and one other person ti£d, gagged, with bl%%d droplets surrounding them was sent to the family back in Akure.

The “kidn@ppers” demanded five million naira in exchange for Agnes’s freedom.

Detectives saw them living together in peace when they raided the hideout after receiving the report.

Professional makeup artist Margaret Itodo was brought in to ensure the footage looked authentic.
