IN TARABA, 11 COMMISSIONERS REPORTEDLY DEFECT TO THE APC FROM THE PDP.

According to reports, 11 commissioners in Taraba state have switched from the PDP to the APC, which is currently in power.

This significant switch from the opposition to the ruling party occurs just hours before Bola Tinubu and Kashim Shettima’s APC presidential campaign rally in the state.

The president, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (ret. ), is anticipated to welcome the defectors into the APC at the event. The presidential election is less than 16 days away at the time of this defection.

Along with this, there have been rumors that Manir Dan’Iya, the deputy governor of Sokoto State, has defected to the APC; however, the deputy governor has refuted these rumors.

Aminu Abubakar, the deputy governor’s director of press, told our correspondent over the phone that the deputy governor has denied party resignation rumors.

The deputy governor is still a legitimate PDP member in the state and is running for senator in the upcoming general elections, according to Abubakar.

He urges his supporters, in particular the PDP members in the state, to dismiss the letter that is going around since it is the creation of his opponents’ imagination.
