Veteran Afrobeats singer Jaywon has ignited controversy after criticizing Grammy-nominated star Ayra Starr’s fashion choice.

The music veteran reacted to a viral photo of Ayra Starr in a skimpy blue bra that barely covered her chest, questioning whether she had parental guidance on her dressing.

A fan on X (formerly Twitter) had asked Jaywon for his opinion on the outfit, prompting him to reply in Pidgin, “She no get mama and papa?”

His comment divided social media users, with some backing his stance on “decency,” while others accused him of intruding into the singer’s personal life.

Ayra Starr, who lost her father at a young age and was raised by her mother, has long faced public criticism over what detractors call “indecent dressing.” However, she has consistently defended and maintained her bold fashion style.
