Anthony Joshua is resolute in asserting that his boxing career is “far from over” despite suffering a knockout defeat to Daniel Dubois at Wembley, a loss that has cast uncertainty over his future in the sport. The former Olympic champion aimed to reclaim the IBF world heavyweight title but was knocked out in the fifth round in front of a record-breaking crowd of over 98,000.

Joshua was knocked down four times during the bout, leading to calls from some corners for him to consider retirement. However, in a video message on X, he emphasized that his journey in boxing is still ongoing, hinting at the possibility of a rematch with Dubois or an all-British showdown with Tyson Fury.

Reflecting on his career, the 34-year-old stated, “What a rollercoaster journey, but do you know what the problem is? It is far from over yet.” He expressed his determination to focus on the positives, despite the setback marking his fourth defeat in a 32-fight career.

Joshua acknowledged the challenges ahead but expressed confidence in his ability to rise again: “It’s about making the right steps forward, working hard, improving… I know I’ve got a lot of heart.” He thanked his supporters and urged them to stay tuned for what he believes will be more exciting developments in his boxing journey.
