JUST IN: A CHINESE MAN WHO K+LLED HIS NIGERIAN LOVER IS CONDEMNED TO DEATH BY HANGING.

According to Daily Nigerian, a Kano High Court has condemned Geng Quandong, a Chinese man on trial for the murder of his Nigerian fiancée Ummukulsum Buhari, to death by hanging.

Mr. Quandong, 47, was found guilty of culpable homicide, which is punishable by death under Section 221 of the Kano State Penal Code Law, and he was condemned as a result.

On September 16, 2022, Mr. Quangrong gave birth to his 23-year-old daughter at her family’s Janbulo quarters in Kano’s Kumbotso Local Government Area.

“The committee voted as follows,” he stated. Increase the MPR from 22.75 percent to 24.75 percent by 400bps. The asymmetric corridor should be extended to +100bps/-300 basic points.

“Reduce the Cash Reserve Ratio of Merchant Banks from 10% to 14% and maintain the Cash Reserve Ratio of Deposit Money Banks at 45%.”

In February, the country’s interest rate was increased to 22.75 percent by the CBN MPC.

This meeting is the 294th CBN meeting and the second MPC meeting of 2024.
