Atiku Abubakar, a former vice president of Nigeria and current presidential contender for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), recently traveled to Europe for “commercial meetings.”
According to sources, the PDP candidate left on a prearranged trip on Tuesday night to meet with the technical partners of one of his business enterprises that was affected by the COVID-19 worldwide lockout and the ensuing economic crisis.

The meeting would also center on finalizing discussions for a planned expansion of Atiku’s production plant, according to Paul Ibe, Atiku’s media adviser.
The former vice president was in Kaduna on Monday, when he made a commitment to address the nation’s present security concerns and give youth employment possibilities.
