Yemi Cardodo, Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), has fired a new batch of 40 employees, the majority of them are from the Development Finance Department (DFD), as part of the bank’s ongoing restructuring efforts.
According to the Daily Trust article, deputy directors and assistant directors were the most affected, with 22 from the DFD and 18 from the Medicals and Procurement Services Department.
The impacted individuals were eight directors, ten deputy directors, five assistant directors, two primary managers, and two senior managers.
The newest number of affected staff brings the total to 67, in what appears to be a series by the Olayemi Cardoso-led Board of Governors.
Remember that the initial set of dismissals involved at least 27 employees, the majority of them were directors at the Central Bank of Nigeria.
