The Abducted Warri North council chairman of Delta State, Aduge Okorodudu has regained his freedom.
Okorodudu was said to have been released in the early hours of Tuesday.
Circumstances surrounding the release were still sketchy as of the time of filing this report, but a source claimed that some money was paid as ransom for his release.
His released was also confirmed by Delta State Police Command.
Police spokesperson, DSP Onome Onowakpoyeya, said “it is true. He has been released but we are yet to get the details”.
It could be recall that some unknown gunmen around 8pm on Saturday kidnapped the council boss along Mabiaku Road, near Nana Model College, Warri.
Okorodudu’s driver was reportedly shot on the leg during the incident.
