The appointment of Femi Gbajabiamila, the speaker of the house of representatives, as his chief of staff has been approved by President Bola Tinubu.

The president met with the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) on Friday, June 2, in Abuja, and named Ibrahim Hassan Hadejia, a former deputy governor of Jigawa state, as his deputy chief of staff.
As secretary to the government of the federation (SGF), he also appointed George Akume, a former governor of Benue State and recently resigned minister of special duties.
