On Monday, President Bola Tinubu paid a visit to Abubakar Ibn Umar Garba Al Amin El-Kanem, the Shehu of Borno, in his Maiduguri palace.

Along with other senior government officials and Babagana Zulum, the governor of Borno State, the president paid a visit to the traditional ruler.

The President has arrived in Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State, for the annual conference of the Chief of Army Staff, as previously reported by Naija News.

At the Air Force Base in Maiduguri, the Nigeria Air Force (NAF) aircraft made a short military display after landing at approximately 11:47 a.m.

Among the dignitaries that greeted President Tinubu were Governors Babagana Zulum of Borno State, Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State, Agbu Kefas of Taraba State, and Ali Modu Sheriff, a former governor of Borno; the Minister of Defense, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar; and Senator Ali Ndume.

In order to lessen the impact of the elimination of fuel subsidies on the populace, the president is also anticipated to inaugurate 100 buses that the Borno State Government has purchased.

This is what President Tinubu will do right after honoring the Borno Shehu.

Acting as the Special Guest of Honour at the Nigerian Army Annual Conference, President Tinubu is making his first trip to the country’s northeast since taking office.
