Both Hon. Moses Thomas Sule, the speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, and Hon. Gwottaon Fom, the deputy speaker, have tendered their resignations.
The most recent event occurred a few days after the state governor, Caleb Mutfwang, and a few state assembly members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), were dismissed by the Appeal Court in Abuja.
After Sule resigned, Gabriel Dawang, a member from Pankshin North, was chosen to take over as speaker of the Assembly, and Timothy Dantong, a member from Riyom, was chosen to take over as deputy speaker.
