President Bola Ahmed Tinubu arrived in Akure, the state capital, earlier today to begin his official visit to Ondo State.
At 11:35 a.m., the Nigerian Air Force aircraft carrying the President and his entourage touched down at Akure airport, initiating the President’s state visits.
Governors of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, and Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji, as well as other prominent political personalities and high-ranking government officials, cordially welcomed President Tinubu upon his arrival.
To commemorate the President’s visit to the Sunshine State, a formal presidential parade was also planned at the airport terminal.
President Tinubu’s schedule for his tour includes a stop at Oba Ajibade Ogunoye, the Olowo of Owo,’s palace.
Additionally, Oluwarootimi Akereodolu, the late former governor of Ondo State, has relatives in Owo that President Tinubu would be seeing.
This act of kindness and support for the grieving family reflects the President’s caring style of leadership.
The President’s schedule includes a noteworthy visit as well: a courtesy call at the Akure home of Pa Reuben Fasoranti, National Leader of the Pan-Yoruba socio-cultural group Afenifere.
The important Yoruba socio-cultural organization and the federal government will have closer communication and relations as a result of this visit.
