  • Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf has sworn in seven new commissioners, 13 special advisers, and six permanent secretaries following a cabinet reshuffle.
  • The new commissioners have been assigned portfolios in various sectors including Information, Finance, Environment, and Rural Development.
  • Governor Yusuf urged the appointees to be dedicated and committed to achieving good governance and improving infrastructure, education, health, and agriculture in the state.
  • The Governor also commended the State House of Assembly for its cooperation and support in driving the state’s development.

Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, has officially sworn in seven new commissioners, 13 special advisers, and six permanent secretaries as part of a cabinet reshuffle to bolster the state’s governance. The ceremony, held at the Government House, was met with cheers from party supporters.

The newly appointed commissioners and their respective portfolios include:

  • Ibrahim Wayya (Information)
  • Shehu Wada Sagagi (Investment, Commerce, and Industry)
  • Dahiru Muhammad Hashim (Environment)
  • Ismail Aliyu Danmaraya (Finance)
  • Gaddafi Shehu (Power and Sustainable Energy)
  • Abdulkadir Abdulsalam (Rural and Community Development)
  • Nura Iro Maaji (Public Procurement)

Governor Yusuf emphasized the careful selection of capable individuals for the roles and urged them to be dedicated in delivering good governance. He highlighted the administration’s focus on key areas such as infrastructure, education, health, youth empowerment, water supply, and agriculture.

The Governor also commended the State House of Assembly for its continued cooperation and support in the state’s development. In response, Shehu Wada Sagagi, the new commissioner for Investment, Commerce, and Industry, expressed gratitude on behalf of all the appointees and assured the Governor that they would work diligently to meet expectations and contribute to the state’s progress.
