Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, has approved an adjustment to official working hours for civil servants in the state throughout the holy month of Ramadan. The decision was announced in a statement by the Commissioner for Establishment, Pension, and Training, Awwal Dogondaji, on Monday in Birnin Kebbi.

Under the new schedule, civil servants will work from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM (Monday to Thursday) and 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Fridays. Normal working hours will resume after Ramadan.

This follows an earlier directive from the state government, which brought the second term of public and private schools to an early close last Friday to allow Muslim faithful to fully observe the fasting period.

Dogondaji emphasized the significance of the holy month, urging citizens to use the period for prayers, particularly for peace and stability in Kebbi State and Nigeria as a whole.
