Oyo State’s governor, Seyi Makinde, asked residents to keep praying for the state’s peace and prosperity, saying that the success of his administration depends on the prayers and support of the populace.

In his greeting to Muslims on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir, Makinde made this call.

The governor asserted that his administration would be able to fulfill its commitment to taking the state to new heights as long as the people continued to support it.

“I use this occasion to congratulate the Muslim Ummah in Oyo State and, in fact, all residents of the state on witnessing the 2023 Eid-el-Kabir,” Makinde said in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Sulaiman Olanrewaju.

“I am grateful for their prayers and support over the years, and I continue to ask for them as we work around the clock to improve the lives of our citizens and bring about sustainable development as promised during the campaign.

“I ask Allah (SWT) to accept our Muslim brothers and sisters’ acts of worship and sacrifice.

A “Barka De Sallah.”
