Three individuals were taken before the Federal High Court in Lagos yesterday by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in connection with a N1,403,343,400 fraud.
Ismaila Atumeyi, a New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) candidate for the Kogi State House of Assembly in the Ankpa II Constituency, is one of the accused.
Ngene Dominic and Abdulmalik Salau are few others. They were presented to Justice Tijjani Ringim for arraignment.
The EFCC filed 18 counts against the defendants, including charges related to money laundering, concealing the profits of fraud, and cybercrime, through the representation of Rotimi Oyedepo.
