In order to raise the profile of state investigations and attract investments worth billions of naira over the next five months, the Kogi State Government has partnered with Chinese and American businesses.
With the help of the new alliance, the state’s terrorists, kidnappers, armed robbers, and other criminal elements will be completely eliminated.
A Chinese company named Hytera will provide funding for the project, with repayments starting three years after installation.
To advance the investment agenda, the state government has already sent 16 Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) from Chinese and some American companies to Nigeria.
Before the start of a two-day interactive workshop on the Kogi State Mission Critical Support System (KG-MCSS), a 21st Century Integrated Smart State/Security Architecture, held in Abuja, Governor Yahaya Bello spoke with reporters and revealed that one of the outcomes from the meeting with the 16 CEOs of the Chinese firms focused on how to address insecurity and the power issue in Kogi State.
Governor Bello expressed confidence in the project, which would be supported by a 5G network and a 30 Megawatt gas-powered electrical plant to be built by an American business, saying it would not only assure a safer Kogi State but also advance economic and infrastructure advancements.
The governor explained that the project was required since Kogi shares borders with ten other states and that the security assessment he had at his disposal showed that there was an immediate threat from criminals that needed to be addressed.
Without safety and security, there cannot be any real economic growth, the governor declared. As the confluence state, Kogi State has a serious administration that is prepared to use all of its resources for the good of its citizens.
We’ve done our best, and we’ll keep doing our best; we’ve won multiple honors for our efforts in ensuring the safety and security of our citizens, and now it’s time to do more, which we’ll do.
He continued, “I want to assure the Kogi State people that to the last day I will leave office, I will continue to cooperate with every one of our law enforcement agencies and our citizens everywhere to ensure we fight these criminals.
