Tunji Wusu –
The development of roads and the provision of other essential infrastructure, according to Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello, will benefit the populace more than palliatives.
Bello made the comment while touring construction on the Abuja-Lokoja road with Mr. Dave Umahi, the minister of works.
According to DailyTrust, he asserted that improving the nation’s roads would reduce poverty, which is preferable to dispensing palliatives.
Remember that to lessen the impact of the subsidy reduction, the federal government last week authorized N5 billion for each state and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
