On Tuesday, the Spanish League announced the provisional reelection of Javier Tebas as its president.

In the competition for the job he took over in 2013, Tebas was the only contender. Up until 2027, he will continue to be in control.

Tebas’s official confirmation as president is scheduled for December 14, according to the league.

Acknowledgments have been made to the 61-year-old attorney for his successful restructuring of the league’s broadcast rights sales as well as for his improvements to the league’s overall finances and those of the teams. He wants to help the Spanish league challenge the English Premier League’s hegemony on the international scene.

Real Madrid, Barcelona, and the Spanish soccer federation authorities frequently disagree with the outspoken Tebas.

The first and second divisions in Spain make up the Spanish league.
