The Lagos State Police Command has arrested over 100 suspects for committing various offences.
Parading the suspects on Wednesday before newsmen at the state command headquarters in Ikeja, the Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, send a strong warning to all criminals in the state, saying the state is not a bed of roses for criminals.
As a measure of reducing the rate of domestic crime, he urged the public to always do thorough findings and profile before employing any domestic staff.
The new police boss said the past 55 days since his assumption of office has been highly eventful and tasking.
He said his first major challenge assuming office was the traffic gridlocks find in different parts of the state which serve as opportunities to hoodlums and robbers to rob in the traffic.
On the issue of traffic offences, the CP frown at offenders, promising that violators will be dealt with according to the law.
Odumosu said vehicles of such drivers will be impounded and confiscated.
While he admonished club owners to provide packing space for their customers and not to allow them pack on walkways or block the roads.
Odumosu then thanked the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Muhammad Adamu for the opportunity given to him to serve as CP of Lagos.
He therefore, promised to work hand in glove with the state government, all stakeholders and members of the public to bring about peace and tranquility to the state.
