Lake Rice: Lagosians Express Disappointment Over Sales Of Product

Lagosians have expressed their displeasure about the so claimed sales of Lake Rice announced to the public.

The Lake Rice was announced by Lagos State Government on Tuesday to be on sales at different centres across the state, but it was at a great disappointment to buyers who were at the Blue Roof Centre, one of the approved centres for purchase of the product.

Most people who visited the sales centre with the aim of purchasing the product were disappointed when they were told that the Rice is no more available.

At the Blue Roof, Lagos State Television (LTV) complex sales centre Agidingbi on Thursday, our reporter gathered that the buyers were aggrieved with the information that the Rice is no more available.

It was alleged by the people and even some workers within the complex that different trucks and vehicles drove into the complex to obtain the product at the expense of the masses.

It was learnt that top officials believed to be from Alausa, and politicians were behind the mass buying of the Lake Rice.

According to a prospective buyer, who pleaded anonymous questioned the late arrival of the Rice, and why the government should laud the sales of the Rice when it does not have enough for its citizens to purchase.
