Aminat Yusuf, a record-breaking first-class law graduate from Lagos State University (LASU), has been given automatic employment by the Edo State Government.
The offer was consistent with the Godwin Obaseki administration’s objective of providing automatic employment to Edo natives who graduate with a First Class in any university, according to Edo Deputy Governor Comrade Philip Shaibu.
Aminat is an Agenebode native who lives in the Edo North region’s Etsako East Local Government Area.
With a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 5.0 in the law faculty, the academic prodigy became LASU’s best-ever graduate.
While receiving the genius, who was accompanied by his father, Ibrahim Yusuf of The Nation newspaper; his wife, Hajia Halimat Yusuf; and a top official/Law lecturer of LASU, Abibu Obadan, Shaibu said he was proud of the Law graduate’s spectacular performance for breaking LASU’s 40-year-record.
The Deputy Governor, who also awarded Yusuf with a commendation letter, stated that despite her humble upbringing, the excellent Law graduate defied all difficulties to acquire a First-Class mark.
“By virtue of Aminat Yusuf’s outstanding performance, she has exemplified the resourceful Edo man and woman’s ‘I can do’ spirit, the attitude that a son or daughter of a nobody can become someone,” he remarked.
“The accolades she has received since the news broke have served as an inspiration not only to her family, but also to the good people of Etsako East Local Government and, indeed, Edo State.” “We are very proud of her.”The current administration, led by my elder brother, Governor Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki, will continue to prioritize high-quality, low-cost education.for behalf of the governor, the government, and the wonderful people of Edo State, I want to congratulate Miss Aminat Yusuf for achieving academic success and becoming an ambassador for our dear Edo State.
