Both federal and state lawmakers are free to execute intervention projects in any part of Sokoto state, Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has said. Tambuwal, who noted that his administration has never prevented anybody from executing projects in the state, however added that adequate consultation with the state government was important to avoid duplication. According to a statement signed by Director of Press in the Deputy Governor’s office, Aminu Abdullahi, Tambuwal spoke in a response to a complaint raised by a federal lawmaker, Hassan Bala Abubakar  representing Sokoto North, Sokoto South federal constituency. The lawmaker, who is an APC member, had earlier raised the alarm that governor Tambuwal has been preventing him from executing zonal intervention projects maybe because of political differences.  Tambuwal in his clarification at the annual general meeting of prominent Sokoto indigenes held at the banquet hall of the Sultan’s palace,  said he was not aware of such incident.
