Democratic Party (PDP) have approached the Presidential Election Court (PEC), Abuja, seeking an order allowing them to inspect materials used for the February 25 election, there appears to be no end in sight to the legal disputes surrounding the 2023 presidential election.

Two ex-parte motions that they both submitted earlier this week at the PEC secretariat at the Court of Appeal, Abuja, outline their request.

Both motions have been scheduled for hearing today, (Friday).

Obi filed his application on Thursday, while Atiku’s was submitted on March 1st.

Furthermore, the conduct, collation, and announcement of the February 25, 2023, presidential and National Assembly elections have been challenged in court by six states of the federation: Adamawa, Akwa-Ibom, Bayelsa, Delta, Edo, and Sokoto.

The All Progressives Congress candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, was declared the victor of the presidential election and the president-elect based on that election, but the States want the Supreme Court to nullify that declaration.

Following the announcement that Bola Tinubu of the APC had won the presidential election held on February 25, there have been a variety of reactions. Some commentators think that anomalies and other electoral shenanigans damaged the process that resulted in Tinubu becoming the president-elect.
