…Foxes demand full release clause as Turkish giants prepare new bid
…Nigeria midfielder linked with Manchester United, Dortmund, Juventus

Leicester City have rejected a €7 million bid from Turkish club Besiktas for Nigerian midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, insisting they will not accept anything less than the €9 million release clause in his contract.

Besiktas are keen to secure the 28-year-old’s services this summer and are reportedly preparing a fresh offer to meet Leicester’s demand, according to Turkish outlet Takvim.

Ndidi, who still has two years remaining on his current contract, has attracted strong interest from several European heavyweights including Manchester United, Borussia Dortmund, and Juventus.

The Super Eagles star has been a consistent performer for Leicester City since his arrival from Belgian side KRC Genk in January 2017. Despite Leicester’s relegation to the Championship in 2023, Ndidi has remained a standout figure and played a crucial role in the club’s promotion back to the Premier League.

With the new season fast approaching, the Foxes are firm on holding out for the full value of the Nigerian’s release clause, a stance that could force suitors to act quickly or risk losing out.
