The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, has expresses condolences to the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, following the death of his mother, Mama Lydia Yilwatda.

During a condolence visit, Senator Lokpobiri described the late matriarch as a devout Christian, a woman of faith and community service, whose life reflected dedication to God and humanity.

“On behalf of my family and the Ministry of Petroleum Resources, I extend my heartfelt condolences to Prof. Yilwatda and the entire Yilwatda family. May Mama Lydia’s legacy of faith and service continue to inspire all who knew her,” he said.

The Minister noted that the late Mama Lydia played an active role in church and community development, where she was widely respected for her strong moral values and commitment to uplifting others.

He prayed for the peaceful repose of her soul and asked God to grant the Yilwatda family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

Mama Lydia Yilwatda, who passed on at the age of 83, was described by family and associates as a pillar of strength and faith whose impact extended beyond her immediate family to the wider community.
