Ademola Lookman, a forward for the Super Eagles and Atalanta, is confident that Nigeria would defeat England’s Three Lions at the international level.
The attacker, 25, was born to Nigerian parents in Wandsworth, South West London.
Although he played for England as a junior player, on February 10, 2022, after receiving FIFA authorisation to represent Nigeria, he changed his allegiance.
Lookman reiterated that he is pleased with the choice to represent the three-time African champions in an interview with an Italian news outlet, L’Eco di Bergamo.
“I made the right choice; I have no regrets. My career is this, he declared.
I’ve always been proud of the fact that I wanted to play for Nigeria. Despite the fact that my family is from Nigeria and I was born in England, I feel a great connection to both nations.
Lookman played for the nation in the just finished African Cup of Nations and has six appearances for the Super Eagles, scoring once.
