Ademola Lookman delivered a commanding performance as the Super Eagles edged Tunisia 3–2 on Saturday night, sealing Nigeria’s place in the round of sixteen.

The forward powered Nigeria’s attack, scoring once and setting up two goals to clinch the Man of the Match award against the Carthage Eagles. His display anchored a dominant Nigerian showing, especially in the first half, before Tunisia mounted a brief fightback.

With the victory, Nigeria confirmed progression to the knockout stage and will face Uganda in their final group game, a fixture of reduced consequence for Eric Chelle’s side. Lookman has been one of Nigeria’s standout performers in the tournament, having also driven the team’s win over Tanzania.

Reflecting on the Tunisia clash, Lookman said the Super Eagles remain on the right path, stressing that the team controlled large stretches of the game despite conceding twice.

He also rallied Nigerian supporters to stay firmly behind the team, describing fan support as crucial to sustaining momentum as the competition advances.
